Intensity Jumpshot/2nd Dribble Change (Video)

Intensity Jumpshot with a 2nd Dribble Change is one of the advanced progressions in the “Intensity” series. It combines conditioning, changes in direction, ball handling and jump shooting.

Place a chair with a ball on it on each side of the line, above the 3-point line.

Place a second marker about 4 feet from the chairs holding the balls, a little outside a direct line to the basket.

Shooter starts under the basket.

Shooter cuts up the lane, inside the chair holding the ball.

He then scoops the ball and turns outside the chair.

Shooter attacks the second marker with a dribble.

He then makes a second dribble change and immediately raises into his jump shot.

Shooter resets the action of scooping the ball, attacking with the dribble, making a change on his 2nd dribble and raising for the shot. Intensity Jump Shot 2nd Dribble Change6

In 2 years as a high school coach, his teams produced 6 Division I players and was ranked #1 in Florida 28 out of a possible 34 weeks.
