Corner Break Shots (Video)

Corner Break Shots is a shooting drill that simulates running the break, receiving the ball and taking a shot from the corner

In this drill, we start with a ball tee (or chair, etc. holding a ball) a rebounder under the rim, shooter on the block and a ball placer tending the ball tee.

There is a marker on the right side, near mid-court

The shooter sprints up the floor as if he is running up the floor on the break. Upon reaching the marker, he turns and runs up the floor as if he is running the wing on the break.  Corner Break Shots2
Shooter sprints to the corner a grbs the ball off the tee, as if he receives the pass on the break.  Corner Break Shots3
Shooter gets his shot, on the run.  Corner Break Shots4

After the shot, shooter turns back up the floor for anther repetition.

The rebounder grabs the rebound, throws to the ball placer, who replaces the ball on the tee for the next repetition. Two ball can be used for efficiency.

In addition to coaching he has scouted for NBA teams, including the Knicks and the Hawks, and served as a general manager in the USBL.
