Drop Step Away From Pressure (Video)

Using the drop steep to turn away from pressure is another application to a piece of footwork that is traditionally thought of as low post play. Here, it is used in the middle of the lane to counter defensive pressure.

The situation Sets up with a passer on the wing, post player on the weakside block and a defender in the lane  Drop Steping Away From Presssur1

The post player makes his cut to the ball.

The defender defends the cut and tries to force the cutter away from the post

Passer enters the ball into the post player to the high side, away from th defender
