Slice Dribble Shooting (Video)

Written by

These are simple ball handling/shooting drills that are designed to challenge your handle you give you the rhythm you need to become a quality shooter.

These can be done in a variety of ways and any shot can be taken at the end.

First, set line up some markers (cones, discs, stones, etc.) that willl allow the player to weave through them.

Player starts at the end of the line of markers and ball handles through them. He can use any dribble or combination of dribbles that he feels is necessary to improve his ball handling.

Once he finishes dribbling through the cones, he recaptures his shooting rhythm for a shot

The second way we do this is to set the markers very close together.

The players goes over the markers, keeping the markers between his feet and the ball between the markers.

We often challenge the ball handling with 1, 2, 3 changes at a time.
